Division F Governor Sheila Watson ACB, ALB
| I am honoured and excited to be Division F Governor for 2010-2011. The vision of District 60 is Experience Success. Success is seldom overnight, and never occurs in isolation. As Toastmasters we are part of a uniquely supportive worldwide community. What does it mean to be a Toastmaster? Firstly, being a Toastmaster means engaging in the potential for self improvement: in one’s career, in one’s personal life, and in one’s endeavors within the community. Secondly, being a Toastmaster is an opportunity for fun and friendship with some of the most interesting people on the planet. Thirdly and most importantly, being a Toastmaster is about courage. No one can give you courage – you must find it in your own heart. You must learn to say: “Maybe I can. Maybe I cannot. But I will not know until I try. So I’ll just do it.” You may achieve more than you ever dreamed possible, and you will certainly serve as an inspiration to others. You may even find that in some way, great or small, you have changed the world. |
